mexican program

The Mexican Program represents the academic aspect of all subjects taught in Spanish from early childhood through high school. Our work begins by promoting a love for reading and writing, as well as the exploration of different forms of writing, ultimately transforming our students into avid readers of various literary genres, as well as analysts and producers of texts.

With the purpose of understanding our country's present, the Mexican program studies the field of social sciences through History, Geography, Civic and Ethical Formation, and Mexican Law. With a passion for our roots, traditions, and culture, our Mexican Program teachers succeed in instilling in students a love for this country.

Mexican Program Director's Message

Hello, ASFG!

My name is Alondra Velasco Ledezma, director of the Mexican Program at our school. I was born in Puerto Vallarta, and a little piece of me is from Yelapa, Jalisco, as that's where my family comes from. I love the field of education! My passion for discovering and creating the best learning spaces has led me to study a bachelor's degree in psychology, a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in cognitive development, and a doctorate in education with a focus on educational institution administration.

When I moved to Guadalajara with the aim of growing professionally, and after securing an opportunity at the American School of Guadalajara, I didn't imagine that the adventure would begin with volunteering during the summer courses in the preschool section and continue to this day, where I have the privilege of representing the Mexican Program.
